Children's Services work alongside our colleagues from People Services, Place Services and Corporate Services in Atlas House, Corporation Street, St Helens.
The building is designed to support the agile working arrangements in place in St Helens Council. Staff can also work from the Town Hall and other venues across the authority, providing space to work and meet. Our arrangements ask staff to be in the office two days per week and we support teams coming together and spending time with each other to support staff in their work and development.
The Council has developed an agile, hybrid blended working model which allows some employees to work flexibly from any location, whether that's working from home, working from the agile hub, working from a Council building or from workplaces in the community. Agile working introduces greater flexibility and empowers employees to work smarter, choosing the best times and places to work to increase productivity and provide the opportunity to deliver a more efficient and quality service to residents whilst maintaining a health work-life balance. This is supported by the use of modern technology making it easier to access information remotely and work from a variety of locations whilst also working collaboratively.
All staff can apply for temporary and permanent flexible working arrangements to accommodate their personal circumstances and provide a better work life balance.
