Practice Development Team

The Practice Development Team is made up of the Assistant Principal Social Worker / Manager of the team, Senior Social Worker, Child in Need Co-Ordinator and Consultation & Reviewing Officer. Whilst each of the members of the team have their own individual responsibilities, they come together to focus on practice development across the service. The team offer individual and group training, bespoke support to staff, mentoring and support as well as undertaking quality assurance work. The team undertake thematic reviews to inform our understanding around the quality of practice and will identify and recommend areas for improvement as part of our getting to outstanding journey. The team also work in partnership with colleagues in Children's Social Care to support the development of procedures and guidance and the holistic progress of the service. 

The team focus is on our Practice Standards and 'Being Brilliant at the Basics and Beyond, with a clear plan of ensuring that the principles of social care practice and statutory requirements are undertaken to a quality standard.
