The Practice Development Team provide consistent training, support and guidance to ensure that colleagues within Children's Social Care understand and embed our practice standards to enable practitioners to be Brilliant at the Basics- and Beyond! We use our understanding of practice in St Helens to develop and deliver bespoke learning opportunities for practitioners. Practice in St Helens is consistently evolving, and we are always looking at how we can work with colleagues to promote wider practice development and improve outcomes for children and families in St Helens.
Safeguarding Children Partnership.
St Helens supports and promotes Practice Educator Training for our more experienced social workers. The Practice Educator course is delivered by the CMSWTP. This is a combined stage 1 and 2 course and will include 5 days of teaching, a number of self-directed activities, attendance at a Practice Educator Forum, plus 3 additional study days to enable time to complete tasks for the portfolio.
