"The Manager is really supportive in co-ordinating joint working which is really appreciated. She is a Manager and colleague who stands out to mee being someone who has listened to recent challenges and identified a way to support us in overcoming these. "

"Fantastic training provided and lots available."

"Lots of support provided personally and professionally"

"I have worked in St Helens for 1 year on duty team 1. I feel this team is very supportive and everyone on the team helps one another where needed. The management of the team is also amazing and are open to listening to our views on the family we work with not only in supervisions but when we need support. I do feel St Helens have a range of support services available to the families we work with and all want the best outcomes for them "

"I have worked in St Helens Duty Team now for 1 year, and I have found working in a duty team is a great way to develop our skills and knowledge as professionals but also I enjoy working part of a supportive team. The social workers and management in St Helens are very supportive, listen to our own views on the families we work with and provide us with peer reflection as a team.  I enjoy working with the families in St Helens, as it is a deprived area and so working with the children and their families closely, allows us to understand why they live in such environments and we help as a team to promote significant change."

"St Helens has a great team of people who are very supportive to staff at all levels from social workers up to the senior managers. There is a culture of learning and an ability to progress if this is something that is wanted."

"I started as a student completing my final placement within St Helens, following this I started my ASYE on duty team 1. My experience has been nothing but positive whilst on my social work career. The duty team is supportive, with everyone being happy to help and provide their guidance. The ASYE programme has been extremely positive in not only furthering my skills and knowledge but also in my independence and confidence within social work. I receive support from my manager and assistant manager on my team whenever I need it, and as part of the ASYE programme I also receive support from a mentor which has been beneficial in furthering my own critical reflection. What stands out within St Helens is the level of support that is offered and the opportunities for peer reflection."
