Children's Services work alongside our colleagues from People Services, Place Services and Corporate Services in Atlas House, Corporation Street, St Helens.
The building is designed to support the agile working arrangements in place in St Helens Borough Council. Staff can also work from the Town Hall and other venues across the authority, providing space to work and meet.
The council has adopted an agile working approach, within which hybrid working arrangements may be agreed for eligible roles. This blended model enables some employees to work flexibly by combining attendance at their designated contractual work base with work from approved alternative locations, such as home, an agile hub, other council buildings, or appropriate community‑based workplaces.
Agile working focuses on how work is carried out and how tasks are delivered, where this is appropriate to the role and service requirements supported by modern technology, enabling teams to continue to collaborate effectively with colleagues.
All employees may apply for temporary or permanent flexible working arrangements in line with council policy.
